Velocity Games to Aid Fundraising for Non-Profits

Corpus Christi –Velocity Games Inc. is seeking non-profit organization in the Coastal Bend who which to use 2006 games to help raise funds for their activities. The games held during Memorial Day weekend and attract more than thousands of spectators during the three day event.

“This year we will offer charity organization the opportunity to be our food and beverage vendors to help them raise funds for their group,” states Dr. Keith Rose, Velocity Games’ chairman of the board. According to Rose, the Padre Island Kiwanis Club (PIKC) has already worked out a partnership with the Silverado BBQ to sell smoked sausages at the event. Rose says, “We hope many groups will join and look at this as a great opportunity to serve the community and raise some needed funds.”

Each food and beverage vender will be able to sell their selection of food items and beverages. There will be only one organization selling a particular food item. In other words, since PIKC is the smoked sausage vender no other organization will be permitted to compete with PIKC.

Velocity Games Inc. will host the 19th Annual US Open Windsurfing Regatta and the 6th Annual US Open Kiteboarding Championship. The games also introduced the Open Sk8board Jam in 2004, which has become the top open sk8board contest in Texas. The 2006 Velocity Games will also introduce High Speed Windsurfing Time Trials with new GPS technology and the Pro Rider Wakeboard Rail Jam Event. Top regional and pro-riders will battle head-to-head in this western wakeboard round-up that will include, the first ever, pool-gap rail jam.
